In Memorandum: Horton Foot

Playwright Horton Foote died today. He is most known for his screen adaptation of To Kill a Mockingbird, but Foote avidly worked in the theatre as well telling the story of the common people; he won the 1995 Pulitzer Prize for drama for his play The Young Man from Atlanta. He maintained his work in the theatre up until the end as he was in the middle of working on a production set to open this fall.

Foote was 92.
