Reading a Success!

November 27, 2013

Last night Ghostlight held a sneak-peak reading of the Geppetto script in its current form for donors and the production team. This was an opportunity for the staff to hear the script out loud and to give reactions and feedback to Stephen so he could continue in the script development in advance of the February residency. The script has come a long way since its initial reading in May with fewer characters and more concise story. Overall the feedback was enthusiastic – the changes that were made were warmly accepted and helped move the story along. And while there were suggestions and things to improve, the bulk of the story is intact. Having written a strong foundation, the time at the Cultural Center can be used to really bring the story to life with the actors.

Special thanks to Jessica London-Shields, Annie Passanisi, and John Highberger for filling in for the cast members who could not attend the reading because of prior commitments.

Funding Update:
As of this morning we have raised $471! (yay)

We still have a ways to go to make our $2,500 goal by December 14th. So we ask that you and all your friends support our production.
