Casting has been announced for Ghostlight Production's workshop of Geppetto to be taking place at part of the Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events' In the Works residency program. The production will be in residence at the Chicago Cultural Center during February 2014.
The cast is as follows:
Geppetto -- Shawn Goudie
Pinocchio -- Jessie Mutz
Morgan -- Elizabeth Bagby
Faux -- Brian Hurst
Kat -- Quenna Barrett
Coachman -- Blake Williams
Goudie, Bagby and Williams all too part in the sneak-peek reading on November 26th.
Geppetto will be the first collaboration between director Stephen F. Murray and Mutz, Bagby, and Barrett. Murray and Goudie have worked together before on City Lit Theater's The Legend of Sleepy Hollow while Hurst and Williams are Ghostlight veterans.
During the month of December, you can see Goudie performing foley effects in American Blues holiday production of It's a Wonderful Life while Bagby is performing with Strange Tree Group in The Dead Prince.
Funding Update:
Giving Tuesday saw $175 in new donations to Ghostlight's Indie Gogo campaign toward the ultimate goal of $2,500. The campaign runs through December 14th so there is still time to make a contribution and support Geppettothis holiday season.
