Karl Malden died today. Malden is best known for his role in the 1970's television drama
The Streets of San Francisco as well as his film roles in
A Streetcar Named Desire (Oscar for Best Supporting Actor),
On the Waterfront (Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actor),
How the West Was Won, and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Patton_(film). He was a member of the
Group Theatre where he worked with
Elia Kazan and
Marlon Brando. Malden was 97.
