Apple Tree Theatre to Close

After struggling to hold on for several seasons, Apple Tree Theatre has announced that it will be closing its doors and canceling its entire 2009-2010 season.

The company was founded as a workshop in the 1970's adding a full performance theatre in 1983. It was in the last few years after they lost the lease on their long time space that the theatre started to struggle in its new space. All six staff members will be laid off as the theatre shuts down.
